Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II & Oriental Orthodox Primates Meet Head of the Evangelical Church in Germany

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met His Grace Bishop Dr. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, Chair of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD)-Council.
The meeting was also attended by Oriental Orthodox Patriarchs His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate for the Coptic Orthodox Church, and His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, as well as Catholicose Mor Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, Catholicose of the Indian Orthodox Church, and representatives of other churches.
Bishop Dr. Heinrich welcomed their Holinesses in Germany on the occasion of the Conference for the Future of Christianity.
Their Holinesses and Bishop Bredford-Strohm discussed church matters of common interest, in addition to means of collaboration for the benefit of the church of Christ, as well as the relief of persecuted Christians in the Middle East.
His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences Mor Philoxenus Mattias Nayis, Patriarchal Vicar in Germany, and Mor Julius Hanna Aydin Director of Foreign Affairs in the Diocese of Germany, as well as Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
