Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II Meets Chief Librarian of USEK

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received Rev. Fr. Joseph Moukarzel, Chief Librarian at the University of the Holy Spirit in Kaslik (USEK) at the Patriarchal Residence in Atchaneh, Lebanon.
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Deacon Elie Zouky.

Rev. Fr. Moukarzel gave an overview of the work of the library at USEK in the manuscripts, especially Syriac manuscripts of the eighteenth century. He also talked about the restoration of the manuscripts.
His Holiness showed Fr. Moukarzel the work that the Patriarchate is doing in the photography of the manuscripts as well as preserving the electronic copies that the Patriarchate owns.
