His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the special event organized by Syrian Ministry of Tourism at the Opera House in Damascus on the occasion of the International Tourism Day. The event was hosted by His Excellency Dr. Bishr Yaziji, Syrian Minister of Tourism, and attended by the Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Ahmad Badreddine Hassoun as well as Her Excellency Minister of Social Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Hassan Al-Nouri, Minister of Transportation.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Secretary, His Grace Mor Maurice Amsih, Director of Public Relations, His Grace Mor Georges Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, and Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
