Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II arrives in Erbil : New Year to be celebrated with refugees & displaced Christians

Kurdistan: His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II arrived in Erbil. The Patriarch was received by their Eminences Archbishop of Mosul and Environs Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Mor Gregorius Saliba Shemoun and Archbishop of Mor Matta Monastery Archdiocese Mor Timotheos Moussa Al-Shamani as well as Christian religious leaders and government officials from Kurdistan.
The Patrairch will celebrate New Year with refugees and displaced Christians in the area. Patriarchal Liturgy will be served along with special prayers.
