His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II reached Baghdad for his first apostolic visit.
His Holiness is accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Secretary, His Grace Bishop Mor Maurice Amsih, Director of Public Relations and Protocol and Patriarchal Delegate in AL- Jazeerah and Euphrates, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
His Eminence Mor Severius Hawa, Archbishop of Baghdad and Basra, welcomed His Holiness at Baghdad International Airport where His Eminence Armenian Orthodox Archbishop Avak and the Head of the Endowment Committee at the Iraqi Parliament Mr. Abdel Azim Ajman received His Holiness along with their Excellencies MP Raad Ishak, Joseph Sleewa, Younadam Kanna, and the Head of the Office of the Christian Endowments.
