Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II and Catholicos Abune Thomas I discuss affairs of Syriac Orthodox Church in India and details of upcoming Apostolic Visit

Lebanon: Baselius Thomas I, Catholicos of India visited His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II. The Catholicose was accompanied by a delegation of metropolitans from India which included: Mor Gregorius Joseph (Metropolitan of Cochin and General Secretary of the Regional Synod in India), Mor Ivaniose Matthew (Metropolitan of Kandanad), Mor Aphrem Matthew (Metropolitan of the Perumbavoor region of Angamali Diocese), and Mor Koorillose Geevarghese (Metropolitan of Niranam).
His Holiness Patriarch Aphrem II received His Beatitude and the accompanying delegation in the patriarchal residence in Atchaneh, Bikfaya – Lebanon.
His Eminence Mor Timotheos Mathews, Patriarchal secretary for Indian affairs was also present.They discussed the affairs of the Syriac Orthodox church in India.
They also exchanged about peace and reconciliation between churches there as well as the details of the apostolic visit to India that His Holiness intend to make next year.
