Orthodox convent in Syria – target for terrorists

Terrorists fired two missiles at an Orthodox convent 20km from Damascus.
The convent is the site of the miracle-making icon of the Virgin Mary believed to be painted by St. Luke.
According to the Syrian media, none of the inhabitants or visitors of the old Orthodox convent were affected.
Sources in the Church of Antioch report that over 100 Christians have been killed since the beginning of anti-government protests in Syria. On the 25th of January a sniper killed a monk who was helping the wounded in the city of Hama.
