Orthodox Christian Awarded the Prestigious “Professor Margaret O’Gara Scholarship”

Canada: Andrew Youssef, a PhD student at the Faculty of Divinity of the Trinity College affiliated with the University of Toronto, has been awarded the prestigious Professor Margaret O’Gara Scholarship 2020-21.

This award is granted to students whose research in the area of ecumenism and the study of schisms between the Christian Churches for the sake of overcoming them.

His doctoral research is on the topic “Severus of Antioch and Leontius of Byzantium: Convergences, Divergences, and Ecumenical Implications”.

Andrew Youssef is an Orthodox Christian hailing from Egypt.
