OCYM WILL OBSERVE YOUTH WEEK FROM AUG 30 TO SEPTEMBER 6

The Orthodox Christian youth Movement will observe Aug 30th to September 6 as Youth Week. During these days various activities and programs will be conducted in almost all units upholding the motto ”Youth towards social welfare and goodness. ” The activities include charity projects, house visits, classes and seminars on various subjects, medical camps, environmental awareness programs, cleaning programs, making parish premises eco friendly, bible study, retreat and counseling sessions etc, according to the need of local parishes. The central level inauguration of youth week will be held at Thejas auditorium, Palarivattom, Kochi on 30th August2009 at 4pm under the auspices of OCYM Ernakulam region. H.G.Yoohanon Mar Polycarpos, President, ocym will preside and Hon’ble minister Binoy Viswam will inaugurate the function. Mr.K.M.Mani MLA will be the chief guest. H.G.Dr.Mathews Mar Severios will deliver the words of blessings .Distribution of 10 wheel chairs and 10 sewing machines will be done by Mr.K.Babu MLA. Fr.Dr.Johns Abraham Konattu, priest trustee and Dr.George Joseph, Sabha secretary will felicitate.
