OCP Secretary Meets National Secretary of Yuva Morcha : Discuss ‘National Essence’ of Malankara Church

New Delhi-India: George Alexander (Secretary of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society) was received by Anoop A J (National Secretary– the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) during the last week of August 2019.

They discussed the national and patriotic importance of the on going MARP (Metropolitan Alavres Julius Research Project) research on Independent Catholic movements (Western Rites) under the leadership of Dr. Ajesh T Philip. They also discussed the national importance of the Malankara Church, especially on the on going research efforts by the Center for Orthodox Studies under the leadership of Jeevan Philip to deconstruct the Pre-colonial past of the Malankara Church.

OCP Secretary honored Anoop A J with the Icon of Jesus Christ the Pontacator (written by Anca Sirbu – OCP Delegate of Bucharest and All Romania). He was also presented with the first part of the research book on the Western Rites.

Hailing from Kerala, Anoop A J serves as the National Secretary of BJYM– the Youth Wing of BJP, which is the ruling party in India.
