Nuns of Pechersk Monastery reburied in Kyiv

The ashes of the governor of Kyiv Semen Sukin and nuns of the Pechersk Ascension Monastery were reburied in St. Florovskii convent in Kyiv. As ForUm correspondent reports, it is the second stage of transferring of the burials of the Ascension necropolis of XVI-XVII centuries, found during archaeological investigations on the territory of the modern exhibition center “Mystetsky Arsenal”.
The ceremony was led by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Volodymyr.
“We are doing our spiritual duty,” he said and stressed the importance of the fact that ashes of nuns will be reburied, calling to pray for their souls.
