Ninetieth Birthday Celebrations of Catholicos Abune Baselios I held at Puthencruz

Malankara -India: The 90th birthday celebration of His Beatitude Abune Baselios Thomas I (Catholicos of India and Metropolitan Trustee of the Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church) was held at Puthencruz Patriarchal center on 22nd Sunday, July 2018.
Known as the Jacob Baradaeus of Malankara, Abune Thomas I leads the Syriac Orthodox Church in India since 2002. The Prelate is also the Chief Metropolitan of the Angamaly Diocese.
Catholicos Abune Baselios I Lauds Catholicos Baselios Paulose II
The public meeting was held after the morning Divine Liturgy. Prelates of the Syriac Orthodox Church, thousands of faithful took part in the celebration. Joseph Marthoma – Primate of the Marthoma Syrian Church of Malabar, Dr. Babu Paul were guests on the occasion.
