With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the Publishing Department of Mother See has issued the educational supplementary handbook; “Ecclesiastical expression and contemporary theological sermons” by Georgios Filias; Professor of the Theology Faculty of Athens University. The book has been translated from the original Greek by Rev. Fr. Gabriel Vardanian, and is intended for use by religious educational institutions.
The book enables the reader to become acquainted and comprehend the historical traditions of religious expression of the church. The book discusses important issues for the ecclesiastical orator, such as theological discourse on Jesus, and the elements of ritual or theological sermon components. The author refers also to the enrichment of modern ecclesiastical sermons, relevant to the current standards of civilization, science and human life.
