Moscow patriarch to visit Ukraine each year or even more Often

Pastoral trips by Moscow and Russia Patriarch Kiril will be held on an annual basis, Moscow patriarchate spokesperson Nikolaj Balashov said July 26.

“Patriarch Kiril has spoken about his plans to attend the day of Rus baptization in Kyiv,” the spokesperson said.

On such trips, Patriarch Kiril will also visit 2-3 episcopates of the Ukrainian Orthodox church, he added.

Kiril may also visit Ukraine on other occasions more often than once a year – in case of special events or festivities, the official said.
