Chișinău-Moldova – The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova thanked the Moldovan Orthodox Church for the support provided for the covid vaccination drive. Recently 4,000 people were vaccinated during the Vaccination drive that was organized at the Chisinau City Hall and MSMPS. Around 2000 doses of vaccines were supplied by the humanitarian aid department of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate and were distributed by the Metropolitan Church of Chisinau and All Moldova.

The Metropolitan Archbishop Vadim Cheibaş, Secretary of the Church of Moldova stated that “We urge all the ministers of the Church and our parishioners who have failed to get vaccinated, to do so. Do not be afraid of this, because it has been shown that due to vaccination the number of cases has decreased. Let’s not go back to those pandemic crises that the church also went through with difficulty. We bless all parishioners who have been vaccinated or intend to be vaccinated, to demonstrate those values and principles of the church. Through vaccination, we demonstrate that love for our loved ones and not indifference, selfishness that persists in some circles of our society”.
