Metropolitan Volodymyr celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Protection Convent of Kyiv

On December 8, the Sunday after the Nativity and the feast of the Holy Virgin, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Volodymyr celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the cathedral church of the Holy Protection Convent of Kyiv.
Concelebrating to His Beatitude was Archbishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy and Vyshneve and clergymen of the monastery.
During the worship, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diaconal ordination, His Beatitude awarded archdeacon Serhiy Kosovskyy the distinction of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
After the celebration, at the hegumen’s block of the monastery, Metropolitan Volodymyr congratulated Mother Superior hegumeness Calisthene (Shamaylo) and nuns on the feast of the Nativity. After the nuns sang Christmas carols, His Beatitude Volodymyr gave them gifts.
Note that Metropolitan Volodymyr has celebrated first Divine Liturgy for the last 2.5 months, during which he underwent treatment in a hospital of Kyiv.
