Metropolitan Volodymyr celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Ascension St Florus Convent of Kyiv
On August 31, commemoration of the holy martyrs Florus and Laurus, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr visited the Holy Ascension St Florus Convent of the capital, where he celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the cathedral church of the monastery.
At the entrance to the temple the Archpastor met the abbess of the monastery Mother Superior Anthonia (Filkina) and the nuns of the monastery.
Concelebrating to His Beatitude during the worship service were Secretary for the Primate of the UOC Archbishop Alexander of Preyaslav-Khmelnytskyy and Vishneve, Bishop Alexander of Horodnytsia, Secretary of the Kyiv Metropolis archpriest Vitaly Kosovsky, as well as clergymen of the monastery and the capital.
After the Liturgy the Primate congratulated the hegumeness of the monastery, the nuns and parishioners on the dedication day of the convent and wished help and prayers of the saints in the matter of salvation.
