Metropolitan Seraphim Felicitates Fr Koshy and Artist Deepthi

BENGALURU, India: Metropolitan Abraham Seraphim of Bangalore of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church, was the chief celebrant at the 25th sacerdotal anniversary of Fr Koshy Thomas, Vicar, St Stephen’s Orthodox Church, Vijayanagar, Bengaluru.
Dr Mar Seraphim also led the Holy Eucharist at the church on August 29 which was followed by a felicitation ceremony. The function also saw ‘Indian Book of Records’ holder Deepthi Jiji Mathew, coffee and pencil artist, presenting her sketch of Fr Koshy and Mar Seraphim personally which was appreciated by members of the faithful.
Deepthi who won many laurels for her artistic efforts was blessed by the vicar and the Metropolitan wishing her many more successful feats. The entire programme was held in strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols. St Stephen’s Orthodox Church Managing Committee, Joyi V Chacko, Trustee and Achankunju K S, Secretary, thanked the faithful gathered to make the function a success.
Earlier, during the lockdown days due to the pandemic, Deepthi had painted the sketches of all the metropolitans and saints of the Indian Orthodox Church. Deepthi is the daughter of Sudha Susan and Jiji Mathew, active members of St Stephen’s Orthodox Church, Bengaluru.
