Metropolitan of All Moldova Meets Minister of Culture

His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir had a meeting this morning with the Minister of Culture, Mrs. Monica Babuc, discussing the need of action in order to ensure the protection of church heritage. Participating at the dialogue were also the Depute Minister of Culture, Mr. Gheorghe Postica, the Exarch of Monasteries of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, monk superior of Curchi Monastery, Archimandrite Siluan (Salaru), and the Chairman of the Metropolitan Department of Architecture and Church Painting, Archpriest Emanuil Brihunet.
The discussion focused on mutual efforts that need to be made by the Metropolis of Moldova and by the Ministry of Culture, in order to take specific action to protect monuments of architecture and spirituality represented by historical worship sites of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.
The parties agreed that this is a laborious process that requires increased attention in order to save the church heritage that plays a special role in the salvation and promotion of national and spiritual values and identity.
Similar discussions between the Metropolitan and the Minister of Culture are planned to be held periodically, in order to analyse mutual progress and set new objectives of collaboration.
