Metropolitan Mor Titus Boulos Touza Meets President of Brazil on Zika Virus Issue

After the epidemic ‘Zika Virus’ outbreak in Brazil, experts have confirmed the link between ‘Zika Virus’ and microcephaly cases. Brazilian government and health authorities raised the level of medical alert and emergency. They are trying to provide help as much as possible to those affected and those living in areas where it could be widely spread.
In this context, His Eminence Mor Titus Boulos Touza, the Apostolic Delegate of the Syriac Missionary Churches in Brazil, met with the Brazilian President Mrs. Dilma Rousseff at the Capital city Brazilia.
During the meeting which was also attended by ministers and government officials, His Eminence and Heads of the Christian Churches in Brazil discussed means of helping in stopping the spread of the Zika Virus in Brazil which is affecting large number.
