Metropolitan Hilarion Decorated with the Russian Foreign Ministry Medal For Cooperation

Moscow-Russia: Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of of the Moscow Patriarchate was decorated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Medal For Cooperation by the Sergey V. Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Russian Federation. The vent was held on the 3rd of September 2021 at the MFA House of Receptions.

According to the MFA Minister, the Metropolitan was awarded the special medal for his contributions to the development of the Russian compatriots abroad, for the advocacy of traditional religious and moral values of the multi-ethnic people of the Russian Federation and also for the advocacy of the interests of Russia on various international platforms.

Metropolitan Hilarion commended on the mutual concerns and the working Groups that functions between the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Church.
