Memorial service for Patriarch Pavle

BELGRADE — The 40-day memorial service will be held today in Belgrade for His Holiness Patriarch Pavle, the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) has announced.
The leader of the Orthodox Christian Serbs passed away on November 15.
The memorial service, held 40 days after death, will be served at the end of Holy Liturgy, in St. Sava’s temple in Belgrade.
The Church said in a statement that afterwards, a small commemoration would be held at the late patriarch’s grave in the a monastery in the Belgrade suburb of Rakovica.
The Church and the Ministry of Religion have also published a book of photographs to commemorate Patriarch Pavle, entitled, “From death to life”.
The 94-year-old head of the SPC was laid to rest on November 19.
