Meeting of Religious Leaders at the Phanar

On Saturday, February 18, 2012, a meeting of religious leaders and representatives of the various Christian Communities in Turkey was chaired by His All-Holiness at the Phanar. Among those in attendance were Metropolitan Geron Constantine of Nicaea, the representative of the Armenian Community in Istanbul, Archbishop Aram Ateshian, as well as the Patriarchal Vicar of the Syriac Orthodox Church, Yusuf Cetin.
The meeting was a second gathering of these leaders in order to prepare for a joint report on behalf of the minority communities as a contribution toward the new Constitution of Turkey.
