Patriarch Abune Merkorios of Ethiopia ends his exile and the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is united again. When His Holiness left Ethiopia, he fled on foot across the southern border into Kenya like a fugitive.

He is back to Ethiopia as the Patriarch with full dignity, welcomed by His Holiness Patriarch Abune Mathias and the Holy Synod, and multitudes of faithful.
