Legal status must be granted to Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia
29/3/2011
Legal status must be given to the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia in the near future, Vice-President of the World Congress of the Nations of Georgia Vladimir Khomeriki stated, Pirveli news agency reports.
“The status of the Armenian Apostolic Church is really important. I think that this issue should not even be on the agenda, as it is an axiom. Armenian and Georgian churches are sisters. Instead of assisting the ancient church, Georgia authorizes various sectarian organizations, which aim at the destruction of a Georgian spiritual culture,” he stressed.
According to him, such a situation is of benefit to the Georgian government. For this reason, it does not pay attention to important religious issues.
