KYIV. His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr elevated three bishops of the UOC to the new rank

On March 24 for the first time since September, past year, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St Nicholas church at the residence of the UOC Primate at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
Concelebrating to His Beatitude Volodymyr were Archbishop Volodymyr of Pochayiv, Archbishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy, Bishop Seraphim of Yahotyn and Bishop Alexander of Horodnytsia. At the Lesser entrance with a view to the services to Church in revival of monastic life at the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra, St Panteleimon’s monastery of Kyiv (Feofaniya), St George Stauropegial men’s monastery in Horodnytsia His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr elevated Archbishop Volodymyr to the rank of metropolitan, and bishops Seraphim and Alexander to the rank of archbishop.
Also during the worship service the UOC Primate ordained to the holy priesthood a coworker of the Pilgrimage center to the DECR of the UOC deacon Serhiy Berezhnoy, conferring on him a yellow pectoral cross.
