Kosovo authorities to allocate half million euro for restoration of Orthodox Sites
Moscow, March 22, Interfax – The Kosovo Government decided to allocate 500,000 euros for restoring Orthodox monuments, the Region’s Culture Minister Valton Beqiri said.
Albanian scientist Mark Krasniqi as cited by the Bota Sot daily stated that “none of medieval churches in Kosovo belongs to Serbs,” as it was cultural heritage of Albanians.
Thus, he reacted on the statement of Serbian Minister Nebojsa Bradic that Pristina tried to lay hands on cultural heritage of Serbia, the Srpska.ru website has reported.
“We don’t steal, we are not thieves, Serbs are thieves, and more exactly the Serbian Orthodox Church as they even fell over each other because of this theft,” Krasniqi said pointing out to the recent scandal around misuse of funds as the Kosovo bishop’s ally was accused of it.
