International Symposium on “Church- State Relations, Imperatives and Challenges” to be held in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On October 18 and 19, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, an international symposium on “Church-State Relations, the Essentials and Challenges” will be convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The conference has been organized by the Inter-Church Relations Department of the Mother See.
Presenting their reports during the symposium will be the members of the brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin; representatives from various Churches, Armenian state institutions, universities, and international Christian and social organizations.
The topics of discussion will be the current models of Church State relations in Armenia and in different countries throughout the world; the international laws and standards within the scopes of religious freedom; and the role of the Church in the public life. They will also reflect on present challenges.
