“Ignoring the Violation of the Rights of Religious Communities Might Result in Catastrophe” – Ukrainian Orthodox Church

Kyiv-Ukraine: Archpriest Oleksandr, the Chairman of the UOC Legal Department stated “if state authorities continue to ignore the violation of the rights of believers and the religious communities of the UOC, this might lead to a catastrophe” referring to the recent attack on a 63-year-old UOC-MP believer by a 19-year-old UOC believer.

Archpriest Oleksandr added that “UOC churches are continuing to be illegally seized, people are being forced into transferring the jurisdiction into the schismatic “OCU”,  and current statesmen are re-registering UOC parishes into this schismatic structure on the basis of fake decisions that are masquerading as being bona fide decisions of the UOC religious communities in question”.
