Holy Trinity Monastery prayerfully marks the 10th anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Laurus of blessed memory

On Friday, March 16, 2018, the 10th anniversary of the death of Metropolitan Laurus of blessed memory, His Grace Bishop Nicholas prayed during morning services at the cathedral of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, then officiated at the Liturgy of Pre-sanctified Gifts. His Grace was joined by the monastery’s Abbot, Archimandrite Luke (Murianka), the brethren of the monastery and clergymen of the Chancery of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, the Eastern American, Mid-American and Canadian Dioceses of the Russian Church Abroad and of the North American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
After a trapeza, Bishop Nicholas and the other clergymen returned to Holy Trinity Cathedral to perform a solemn pannikhida, before which His Grace talked about the letters received by the Synod of Bishops from all over the world. Bishops, monastics and other Church figures remembered the former First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad. Bishop Nicholas then read a letter from His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine. After the service, everyone venerated the crypt of Metropolitan Laurus.
