Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center is nestled away in Dalton, Pennsylvania, which is just minutes outside of downtown Scranton. It is enthroned on more than 300 sprawling acres and includes a lake, beautiful trees and rolling hills ideal for outdoor meditation.
The retreat center, includes a chapel, library, conference rooms, classrooms, and offices. There are two dormitory wings to accommodate over 180 guests, and a gymnasium that will comfortably seat 800 people.
The Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center has been a great vision of the Northeast American Diocese. The main goal was to build a home for successful spiritual programs for MGOCSM, OCYM, Sunday School, Mortha Mariam Samajam, and other ministries of the Diocese.
Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center is a home for the clergy and faithful of the Diocese and all guests – providing them the opportunity to grow closer to God and each other. The clergy and faithful of the Northeast American Diocese prayerfully hope that the Holy Transfiguration will be a great spiritual powerhouse for the Diocese and the Church as a whole.
