His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Singapore, Mr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, over the death of the country’s first Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.

I was grieved to learn about the death of the first Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences over this sad event. The Russian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox community in Singapore are praying for peace, wellbeing and prosperity of the people of Singapore.
