His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Prayed at the Church of Elevation of the Holy Cross of the Kyiv Caves Monastery

In the evening, February 24, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill visited the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. AT the Church of Exaltation of the Holy Cross he read the prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos, following which he venerated the wonderworking Icon of the Dormition of Theotokos that always stays above the Royal doors of this church.
Greeting the Patriarch, Deputy Abbot of Lavra Archbishop Pavel of Vyshgorod thanked his Holiness for the visit and gave him as a gift on behalf of the brethren the Icon of the Venerable Agapit of the Kyiv Caves with a piece of the honorable relics of this God-pleaser.
