His Holiness Patriarch Kirill: “It is with a special feeling that I visit this holy land Again”
On July 20, 2010 at the airport of Odessa His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia told the mass-media representatives of his pastoral visit to the diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Answering the question on the purposes of his trip, His Holiness remarked:
“May be it will sound strange for the secular press, but I set no purposes at all. As a patriarch a visit the dioceses and parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate, of the Russian Orthodox Church. The pastoral trips are always connected with the prayer, communication with the faithful and everyone who would like to meet me.
I have received the kindest impressions of the visit to Ukraine last year. I had a possibility to tell the mass-media that it was the brightest impression of my first year as patriarch, and therefore it is with a special feeling I’m visiting this holy land again and rejoice on the occasion to perform divine services together with His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr, hierarchs of our Church and our fervent believers.
