His Holiness Aram I addresses a youth gathering in Isfahan

ANTELIAS, Lebanon – Addressing a youth gathering in Isfahan, His Holiness Aram I called for a more important role for the Armenian youth in church and community life: “All sorts of approaches and all modes of thinking that marginalize youth must be challenged” he said and urged the community organizations to provide broader space for a more active participation of youth.
His Holiness emphasized the pivotal role of youth in all aspects of society life. In his view, “constant and serious efforts must be made to ensure the contribution of youth to all initiatives and processes aimed at community building”. His Holiness considered “the renewal of our church and community life, keeping pace with the changing times and responding to emerging realities are essential because they will generate vitality and creativity to our common life”.
Aram I continues to remind the crucial importance of the youth in the life of society. He declared the year 2010 as “the year of the youth”, and he set a number of programmes to enhance the participation of youth in church and community life.
