His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem honors the feast day of the Russian Convent in Gethsemane (photo-report)
On Saturday, August 4, 2018, the feast day of Holy Myrrh-Bearer Mary Magdalene, Equal-to-the-Apostles, His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany, leading a large group of pilgrims from Europe to the Holy Land, officiated at divine services at the Russian Convent in Gethsemane, Jerusalem.
His Eminence was joined by Vicar Bishop Serafim of Kaluga, Russia, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem of the Russian Church Abroad, and visiting clergymen. Arriving at the end of service was His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine, who delivered a sermon and participated in a procession of the cross around the “Royal Church” of the convent.
