His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr visited school in which the children of liquidators of Chornobyl disaster study
On Saturday, April 24, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church visited secondary school 4 of Vyshneve town (Kyiv region), where the children of children of liquidators of Chornobyl disaster study.
The organizers were the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and charitable foundation “Children of Chernobyl”.
Such kind of action has taken place for many years right on the eve of the next anniversary of Chornobyl tragedy. On that day by tradition the schoolchildren prepared a little concert for the guests.
Thereafter the Archpastor addressed the children and their parents and wished strength, health and success in their studies. At the end His Beatitude blessed those present with the icons of the Nativity of Christ and handed them gifts.
