His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr read the first part of the Great Canon of Repentance by St Andrew of Crete at the Refectory Church of the Kyiv Caves Monastery
On Monday, March 7, according to the church calendar the Great Lent begins.
On that day the Primate of the UOC His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr performed the reading of the first part of the Great Canon of Repentance by the Venerable Andrew, Bishop of Crete during the Great Vespers.
At the same time, on the blessing of His Beatitude Volodymyr, Deputy Abbot of Lavra, His Eminence Pavel, Archbishop of Vyshgorod performd the reading of the Great Canon of Repentance at the Church of Sts Boris and Gleb in Vyshgorod, rector of the Kyiv Theological Schools, His Eminence Anthony, Archbishop of Boryspil served at the academy church of the Nativity of Theotokos, His Grace Ilary, Bishop of Makariv served at the Holy Ascension Church of Vyshneve town, His Grace Panteleimon of Vasylkiv – at the Church of St Nicholas in Vasylkiv.
