Dear organizers and participants of the Third Mass-Media Festival!

An orthodox Christian, who chose for himself a profession related to spreading of the information, has to follow the apostolic, missionary way. He has to live with faith in good, with hope for the future, with love of people and to be guided by the instructions of the Divine wisdom. nd not only to live, but to work in compliance with the ideals of truth and good.

It concerns not solely the workers of the church mass-media. The secular media, even if the have no relation to the orthodox subject matter, cannot be free from morality. Their audience is much wider, and the journalists, working there, have to be aware of their responsibility to God and people for the information they spread.

It is highly important that our Festival steps out beyond the limits of the church fencing and starts to communicate and work with the chiefs, editors and journalists of the secular media. It is important that we learn to hear and understand one another. There is a lot we can learn from one another and a lot to think over.

I wish all of you the fruitful work and spiritually beneficial communication.

May God bless each of you, your families and your work teams, and grant you the spirit of wisdom and understanding, so that your words reached human hearts and served to the Truth of God.
