His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr Celebrated Divine Liturgy before Pochayiv Icon of Theotokos
On Tuesday, September 15, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of All Saints (Kyiv. Zaliznychne shosse, 3), where on these days stays the Wonderworking Pochayiv Icon of the Mother of God.
Concelebrating with His Beatitude were Secretary for the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Bishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi and the church clergy.
Upon completion of the Divine Liturgy the Archpastor conducted the prayer service at the miracle-working icon.
Thereafter His Beatitude addressed the faithful with the words of instruction:
“These days are festive for all of us, since the Queen of the Heavens and Earth Herself came to us in her wonderful Pochayiv Icon of the Mother of God. May the Pure Virgin hear and bless all of us. The mother’s prayer is above all, the prayer of the Mother of God is even higher. May the Heavenly Queen, staying now with us, always be among us”, the Primate noted.
At the end, each of the faithful could get the Primate’s blessing.
