His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr awards representatives of Medical Profession

On December 20, the Primate of the UOC received representatives of the medical profession.
The meeting took place at the residence of His Beatitude Volodymyr at the Kyiv-Caves Monastery.
The Primate marked the labor of medical workers fore the benefit of the Church and conferred on them the church orders. Thus, the order of the Venerable Agapit of the Kyiv Caves, 3rd degree was conferred on the ex-minister of Health Protection Vasyl Knyazevych, his former deputy Vasyl Lazoryshynets and the counsel for the Minister of Health Protection Ivan Soroka.
Thanking to His Beatitude for the awards, ex-minister noted the fruits of cooperation of the Church and the Ministry, especially in the field of social programs. As a keepsake of the meeting, Vasyl Knyazevych offered metropolitan a sample of the edition of the Buchatske Gospels (ХІІІ century).
Taking part in the meeting also were Secretary for the Primate of the UOC, His Eminence Alexander, Bishop of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy and chairman of the Synodal Department of the UOC “Mission Church and Medicine” archpriest Hennadiy Batenko.
