His All-Holiness officially opens restored church in Tsegkelkioi

On Sunday, September 18, 2011, in response to a formal invitation from Metropolitan Geron Athanasios of Chalcedon and the Ecclesiastical Committee of the Community of Tsegkelkioi, His All-Holiness presided over the Divine Liturgy at the beautifully restored Church of St. George the Trophybearer.

Am I blind or is there no cross on this church or anything else to indicate that it is a Church? It is not uncommon in places like Egypt where churches cannot be prominently displayed. Islamic regimes commonly prohibit displays of Christian symbols, such as crosses. Europe is insane, if they allow Turkey into the EU. Forget “Westbank”, what about true occupation of Cyprus by the Turks?
