HH Karekin II Sends Condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin and His Holiness Kiril I

On April 3, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; has sent letters of condolence to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and to His Holiness Kiril I, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; over the explosion that occurred on the subway in St. Petersburg.

On behalf of the Supreme Spiritual Council, the clergy, and the Armenian people, His Holiness Karekin II expressed condolences to the Russian President, the Russian Patriarch, the Russian nation, and the families of the victims of the explosion.

“We pray to the Lord and the Holy Spirit that the souls of the victims rest in peace in the heavenly heights. May our Lord comfort the families and friends of the victims and grant a speedy recovery to all the injured”, the letter stated in part, further expressing his wish that Almighty God keep Russia and its faithful people in peace and security.
