The HeartSoul Ekonomia Institute (HSEKI) Is conducting two crowdsourcing fundraising campaigns at http://www.heartsoulekonomia.com/literarycontest/ in order to raise start-up funds by inviting a community of members to invest in the company, and to raise funds while soliciting content for HSEKI’s PraxisQuarterly Literary Review. The PraxisQuarterly Literary Review Fundraising and Submission Contest can be found at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/PraxisContest/ while the Member –Investor invitational fundraiser can be found at http://www.indiegogo.com/HeartSoul-Ekonomia-Institute-1 . The primary target for these start-up raise-campaigns is members of the Eastern Orthodox Christian community who are interested in the economic lives of women, their families and their communities.
“We heard about crowdsourcing through conducting online research on how to raise funds, and decided to try it since we had nothing to lose, and it was virtually free to set up a campaign, explains xenia lynn teresa williams, the founder of the HeartSoul Ekonomia Institute”. “The most convenient thing about raising start-up funds this way is that it allows us to solicit for members for our company and also to solicit for content for the magazine-so we are not only raising the needed funds, but we are also asking that people become active members of HSEKI and that those who are artists are able to contribute short stories, poems, and visual artworks.
The annual contest is open to people of four main faiths, Christianity including Orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism. The rest of the publishing cycle of the PraxisQuarterly Literary Review will be dedicated to Eastern Orthodox Christian inspired literary works. In this way the contest also serves as a research effort by the HeartSoul Ekonomia Institute.
The HeartSoul Ekonomia Institute has two core missions, that is, to provide women-centric cultural anthropologic research in the economic lives of women and to provide educational opportunities to learn household economic management skills for women who want to learn to structure their lives in a ordered way that is responsive to individual economic lifestyles and allows them to exploit economic realities in their environment or create economic opportunities from within their homes. Like many small businesses, the HeartSoul Ekonomia Institute needs to raise cash in order to advertise the classes in mid-July and to launch the PraxisQuarterly Literary Magazine.
HSEKI also plans to conduct a series of symposiums in August so that members of the community can come and learn more about the flagship Prodigal Daughter Course which will teach project management planning skills, bookkeeping skills and provide a filing system to the students who participate in the course.
