USA: Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Maximos (Aghiorgoussis), former Prelate of the Metropolis of Pittsburg (Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America of the Ecumenical Patriarchate) entered eternal rest.

Met. Maximos was elected as the first head of the Pittsburgh Metropolis in March 1979. The late prelate served the Metropolis until his retirement in 2011 due to ill health.
