The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America offered 25,000 dollars for the earthquake victims of Cephalonia, western Greece.
According to the Archdiocese of America, the Archbishop Demetrios of America sent the financial assistance of 25,000 dollars to the Holy Metropolis of Cephalonia, in order to boost the needs of Cephalonia’s earthquake victims. As noted in his Eminence letter to the Metropolitan of Cephalonia Spyridon, Archbishop Demetrios states that the financial assistance is a product of love and care of the parishes and the faithful of the Holy Archdiocese of America.
What is more, as announced by the Archdiocese “Archbishop Demetrios sent a check of 25,000 dollars from the Relief Fund for the People of Cyprus to the Council of Community Volunteers of the half-occupied municipality of Agios Dometios in Cyprus in order to support the nursery and toddler day-care center of the area which provides essential services to eighty children.”
