Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Visits Ecumenical Patriarch in Istanbul

Greek Deputy Foreign Minister, D. Dollis, held a meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Fener, Istanbul, earlier Thursday morning, in which the two men discussed issues concerning the international activities of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The Greek deputy also congratulated His All Holiness for his 72nd birthday.

Having completed his formal visit to Jerusalem, the Greek deputy visited Istanbul to meet with the Greek Orthodox Patriarch. Mr. Dollis was accompanied in his meeting by the Consul General of Greece to Istanbul, Mr. N. Mathioudakis.

Later in the day, Mr. Dollis will attend the inauguration event of a photo exhibition concerning the visits of the Ecumenical Patriarch to Mount Athos, organized by the Mount Athos Center in cooperation with the General Consulate of Greece to Istanbul. The exhibition will be hosted at the Sismanoglio Megaron.
