Gold cross stolen from an Orthodox Church in Helsinki

A gold cross decorated with precious stones, which had been used during divine services, was stolen from an Orthodox church in Helsinki, Finland. The police say the robbery took place on Wednesday evening, when there was nobody inside the church. It’s been a second theft from an Orthodox church in Helsinki. In 2007 an icon of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, painted in the 19 century, was stolen form the Assumption Cathedral.
