Feast of Mor Kyriakos and His Mother Juliet

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II celebrated the Holy Qurobo at Mor Yacoub of Nisibin Church in Tabbala on the occasion of the Feast of the Martyr Mor Kyriakos and his mother Juliet.
In his sermon, His Holiness spoke about the saintly life of this martyr and how he bravely declared his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not fearing torture of death.
His Holiness also spoke about the role of his mother who taught him the good faith and encouraged him to confess it with hesitation. The two martyrs are examples of true and strong faith and how the Holy Spirit gives courage for the persecuted to remain firm in their faith and strong in their will to defend it.
