Feast day at Saharna Monastery

On the commemoration day of St. Rev. Macarios who was an inhabitant of the Monastery of Saharna, this monastic settlement stroke its bells to call the God-loving people to holiday prayer.
With utmost brotherly love, the monastic family headed by father Archimandrite Adrian (Baciu), followed by numerous pilgrims, met His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir who then celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
The Hierarch rewarded the hegumen of the monastery with the second degree Order “Church Merit”, in sign of high appreciation of effort and service in the Holy Altar, and guidance of the Christians.
During the Divine Liturgy, monk Nicolae, settler of Ţipova monastery, was ordained hierodeacon. The Archpastor congratulated the just-ordained clergyman on this important event, wishing him spiritual obedience and worthiness.
After the Liturgy, the clergy followed the Metropolitan in a procession around the settlement, bearing on their shoulders the wonder-working icon of the Mother of God from Hirbovat and the relics of Rev. Macarios.
His Eminence congratulated the monastic and the pilgrims on this important day, wishing them to continue embracing the Word of God and follow the Gospel, opening their hearts to prayer.
